Project Overview
MTF Kumeū engaged us to complete a full-site signage upgrade as part of their branch move into a larger, more visible location on SH16.The goal was to elevate both roadside presence and customer-facing interior experience, aligning the branch to national brand standards while making the most of the new high-exposure site.
The finished installation includes ACM fascia cladding, wall panels, a full lightbox rebuild, window branding, etched privacy frosting, vinyl office graphics, and a premium 3D acrylic feature wall — forming a complete environment upgrade from driveway to reception.
Brief & Challenge
The new location had significantly higher visibility potential, meaning the installation needed to perform both during daylight and long after trading hours.
Achieving even night illumination required a full lightbox rebuild rather than a simple re-skin, while the large fascia panel demanded precise adhesive application + elevated access over a projecting awning.
Interior elements needed to look equally premium — reception is the first impression — so frosting alignment and acrylic spacing had to be exact.
What we did
Exterior visibility is now dominant from both approach directions of SH16.The ACM fascia acts as a bold branding anchor, with the rebuilt lightbox providing high-clarity illumination at night without patch hotspots, ensuring presence even outside office hours.
Inside, the segmented privacy frosting creates a polished, corporate meeting space without blocking natural light.
The negative fin-band cut through the centre introduces movement and personality, elevating the room beyond standard block privacy film.
The CNC acrylic feature wall provides a high-impact reception focal point — deep gloss, layered dimension, standout brand presence.(See linked case study below)
• Full exterior fascia clad in 13850 × 610mm ACM, VHB + construction adhesive fixed
• Wall panel signs: 1000 × 1600mm + 1600 × 300mm over entrance
• All ACM produced in-house with laminated print graphics
• Complete single-sided lightbox build: 1830 × 580 × 95mm
• High-opacity LED-ready graphic produced for even night illumination
• Door hours strip installed: 2000 × 400mm printed + applied to entry glass
• Interior frosting installed across joinery office wall — 3 panels tall × 5 wide
• Negative fin-band pattern cut through central frosting zone
• CNC-cut acrylic reception wall feature (documented in separate case study)
• All vinyl applied with precision alignment across mullions and joins
• Multi-stage delivery — 2 days exterior, 2 days interior, 0.5 day lightbox + wiring
• Cherry picker required to reach fascia over lower canopy structure
Materials
• 4mm ACM panels
• Printed + laminated exterior vinyl
• High-opacity lightbox film
• Cast vinyl + precision cut branding
• Frosted film with negative fin pattern
• CNC-cut acrylic elements (sub-case study)
Processes
• Multi-day staged install
• Cherry picker fascia placement
• Full lightbox rebuild + wiring
• Precision alignment across window mullions
• Frosting installation across segmented joinery
• VHB + adhesive ACM fixing
Outcome
This relocation placed Kumeū in a premium street-front position — and the signage is built to take advantage of that fully.
The branch now carries stronger consistency with the national network and maintains visibility both day + night through illuminated branding and high-contrast fascia signage.
This was one of our most recent MTF projects and continues to represent the standard of execution applied across the network.
